We are currently seeking a part-time Community Engagement Worker to join our Suicide Prevention team. Our Community Engagement worker will engage communities in the Central West, providing psychoeducation resources to help people gain early access to suicide prevention services.What will a typical day look like?Contribute to the Community Awareness Strategy.Foster relationships with external service providers and develop and report on opportunities for beneficial partnerships.Coordinate and participate in events that assist our target groups and increase the profile of Suicide Prevention services.Through community education incorporating community-based help and education on mental health literacy, reduce stigma surrounding mental health.Stay up to date with relevant sector and geographical trends, gaps and information.Mandatory Requirements:Full COVID-19 VaccinationCertificate IV in Health Promotion, Public Health, Community Development, Social/Behavioural Science, Social Work/Planning, or related discipline.1-year relevant experience.Ability to obtain a Blue Card (working with children check positive notice or exemption)Ability to obtain a Yellow Card (disability services positive notice or exemption notice)Who we are:Our truly local team of professionals have worked with people in Central Queensland for over 40 years to support them in living their best life.
