Offering guidance and recommendations to improve customer outcomes and identify growth opportunities, focusing on driving targets, particularly in the SMB Complaints portfolio. The role will involve demonstrating how analytics can inform business decisions to help achieve business objectives.Your day in the life of a Senior Data Analyst at OptusGenerate rich, actionable insights that drive business action & decisions and present clearly articulated and structured recommendations.Support business partners through effective storytelling and relationship management to ensure data is a key enabler of decisions.Performing sophisticated data, statistical and commercial analysis to understand how customer behaviour, product changes and market dynamics impact the Consumer business.Consolidating information and data from across the Insights team to present a comprehensive view of customer behaviour and market trends including Research, Data Scientists, Commercial, External Market Analysis and Marketing effectiveness.Contributing to the overall team delivery of business insights and recommendations and trading performance.Proactively innovate with the use of data and analytics to find opportunities to growth and engage our customers.Your skills to pay the billsRelevant tertiary qualification and hands on experience in Analytics within Telecommunications or Financial Services.Strong proficiency with SQL, Python or R, complimented with strong understanding of data warehouse structure and data extraction.Knowledge of and experience in Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.Proficient in data visualisation techniques and tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik, etc).Strong data storytelling and presentation skills, with clear attention to detail and ability to work with varied business partners.Perks we love at Optus3 days in the office, 2 days remote - with flexible hours to suit!Inclusive paid parental leave, up to 14 weeks for the primary care giverAll Optus employees have access to resources, webinars and support via the 'Parents at Work portal'Own your own growth by accessing an extensive online and facilitator led learning catalogue - even earn a MBA micro-credential via OptusU (University)Connect at work through one of our employee-led volunteer groups: Culture Connect, Elevate Women, Disability Network, Express Yourself (LGBTQIA+), United Veterans and Yarn NetworkVibrant campus life, variety of facilities including restaurants, cafes, gymnasium, GP, and post officeTwo easy travel options to Sydney Campus: Optus bus from Sydney CBD (20min travel time) and Macquarie University Metro Station (every 6-8 minutes); morning and afternoon!Keen to see what it's really like to work at Optus?
