As Senior Transport Coordinator you will be managing and overseeing the Transport operation, ensuring that service levels are achieved and maintained. Planning driver and vehicle resource to achieve delivery / collection times, whilst optimising resource and maintaing adherence to all O licence undertakings.Salary: £35,000 Per AnnumShift Pattern: Mon-Fri (06:00 - 14:00) Sun-Thurs (13:30-21:30) Rotating ShiftsAs the successful candidate, you will contribute to the overall success of the site, and will report directly to the site Transport Operations ManagerJob responsibilities of Senior Transport Coordinator include:Optimising resource and adherence of WTD and drivers’ hours legislationControlling equipment through sign in / sign out procedure, ensuring legal complianceSigning off and overseeing an effective Transport plan to achieve on time delivery and collection performance expectationsOverseing own and subcontractor resource to achieve delivery / collection times, creating and updating daily run summaryEffectively communicating with the Planning team, Customer service, other depots and when required, directly with customerMonitoring arrival and departure times, ensuring deliveries are made within the specified windowsFinding the best fit solution for customer collections, adhering to collection timesCommunicating any potential failures or changes to the original planEnsuring any investigations and disciplinaries are carried out in line with company process / proceduresEnsuring all accidents, incidents and near misses are logged, investigated and reportedCarrying out colleague reviewsLiaising and planning drivers in for meetings / courses as requiredAdhering to vehicle and trailer service schedules as planned. Carrying out regular periodic trailer and vehicle census reports.
