Job DescriptionThis is a one-year fixed-term employment period with the client (a Contrat à Durée Déterminée / CDD) in a great company with attractive offices and the opportunity to work from home for a day a week.We have an amazing opportunity for a lawyer with around 5-8 years’ PQE experience in M&A and corporate finance, gained in either the PE practice of a law firm or in-house for an investment company in Luxembourg. Excellent English language skills are essential.Our client offers you the chance to work on a range of private equity, real estate and infrastructure transactions. You might be involved in the set-up, structuring and financing of international joint ventures, M&A, co-investments, corporate restructuring, refinancing, and general corporate matters.You will be expected to have a depth of expertise to work autonomously alongside the Head of Legal. You will be a great team player, and work with integrity, efficiency and accuracy to ensure excellence, and in return the company will offer you a dynamic and supportive environment, with the option to work up to a day a week from home.As an example, you may:Provide legal advice on a range of investment transactions in PE, RE and Infrastructure, and on other legal issues affecting the group as a member of the in-house counsel teamManage transaction closings in a timely mannerProvide advice on legal compliance with local and international regulations and lawsReview and negotiate contracts for the business itselfWork to minimize legal risk to the company and its group entitiesWork on ad hoc advice and legal projects as and when they arise, providing advice memo’s or in person.To be considered for this role:Significant experience in Luxembourg in a similar role is essentialYou will possess excellent English language skillsHave at least 5/6 PQE years of experience , up to around 10 years, gained post qualification in a law firm, investment firm, or a Big-4 (note: fiduciary experience is not relevant).You’ll have a minimum Masters in Law.
