Start your path to a WGNSTAR career today!Schedule: Compressed work weeks, days or nights available (15% night-shift differential)Pay Rate: $19 - $22 Hourly DOELocation: Hillsboro, ORThis position is open to local candidates only.The principal duties and responsibilities will be:Execute scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on semiconductor equipment according to established procedures and schedules.Conduct inspections, lubrications, alignments, and calibrations as per manufacturer recommendations to ensure equipment performance and longevity.Replace consumable parts, filters, and components at specified intervals to prevent breakdowns and maintain operational efficiency.Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues during preventive maintenance checksUse diagnostic tools and techniques to pinpoint potential problems and recommend corrective actions.Collaborate with maintenance engineers or supervisors to resolve complex issues that may arise during inspections. Provide feedback on equipment performance and suggest improvements to preventive maintenance schedules or procedures.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspections, tests, and repairs performed and document equipment performance metrics and update maintenance logs or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).Generate reports on equipment status, maintenance findings, and recommendations for improvement. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and maintenance processes.Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing maintenance tasks to ensure a safe working environment. Follow regulatory requirements and industry standards for semiconductor equipment maintenance and operation.Requirements:1-2 years of experience as a Preventative Maintenance technician or similar role in the semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing industryHigh school diploma or equivalentStrong knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing equipment, systems, and processesMechanical and Electrical Skills: Proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting, electrical systems, and diagnosticsAttention to Detail: Ability to conduct thorough inspections and maintain accurate recordsProblem-Solving: Capacity to identify issues and propose effective solutionsTeamwork and Communication: Collaborative attitude to work with engineers, technicians, and production staffSafety Awareness: Commitment to maintaining a safe work environmentPreferred:Additional technical training or certification in electronics, mechanical systems, or a related fieldPhysical Effort/Activities:Work may involve standing for extended periods, lifting heavy equipment, and working in cleanroom environments or confined spaces.Flexible hours may be required to accommodate maintenance schedules and production demands.The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Other compensation: We offer benefits such as Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, Paid Vacation, Select Holidays, Overtime Opportunities, Compressed Work Week Schedules, On-site Facilities & Career Development Opportunities.This job description is intended to convey information essential to understanding the scope of the job and the general nature and level of work performed by job holders within this job.
