Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and diligent Senior Accounts Payable Clerk to join their Accounting and Finance team on a temporary basis. This role is integral in ensuring the smooth operation of the financial department in their Burton-On-Trent location. This is a temporary position, with hybrid working.Manage the accounts payable process and ensure all invoices are paid on timeReconcile supplier statements and deal with any discrepanciesAssist with month-end closing processesPrepare and process electronic transfers and paymentsCommunicate with suppliers regarding invoicing and payment queriesMonitor accounts to ensure payments are up to dateMaintain accurate financial records and prepare reportsCollaborate with the finance team to improve financial processesHybrid working model, 3 days office 2 days home|Flexible working hours, temporary role, that may be extended / go permA successful Senior Accounts Payable Clerk should have:Proven experience in an Accounts Payable roleStrong knowledge of accounting principles and proceduresExcellent numeric skills and attention to detailProficiency in accounting softwareStrong communication skills, both written and verbalOur client is a leading player in the Industrial / Manufacturing sector, with a workforce of over 1,000 dedicated employees.
