By collaborating extensively with leading healthcare professionals you’ll see first-hand the impact you have on individual lives - one patient at a time.The position of Clinical Specialist – Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) / Electrophysiology (EP) provides field/remote clinical, technical & educational support in EP and CRM to accounts in SA and across ANZ. The primary focus is to support new therapy introduction of Pulsed Field Ablation through the FARAPULSE™ system, demonstrating clinical expertise to influence superior outcomes and support the wider CRM team. Travel may be required as part of this role.WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?CRM & EPBuild strong internal and external customer relationships to understand their needs and to identify potential new business opportunities.Develop deep understanding of the individual workflows and policies of each hospital as well as maintaining a current understanding of any competitor activities.Respond to complex customer needs and complaints regarding products and service by collaborating on the development and implementation of creative and feasible optimal solutions with other related personnel (e.g., sales, clinical, research, marketing, technical support) .Recording customer information and activities in company’s customer relationship management system: use the system as an alignment tool with other commercial roles.Completion of relevant administration including, but not limited to, reporting, stock validations, ongoing education & training and inventory managementAttending and actively participating in meetings, conferences and exhibitions as required to develop our business and promote Boston Scientific products and services.Adhere to rigorous Quality and Regulatory standardsBeing available to support the broader ANZ Rhythm Management business on an as-needs basisParticipate and provide assistance in relevant tender processes.Complete market analysis and regular reporting as required.Maintain all company assets, including assigned inventory, in good order and in accordance with BSC audit and process requirements.Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM)Successfully complete formal CRM training program, apply these skills in the field and maintain high level of technical and market knowledge on an ongoing basis.Provide superior day-to-day field clinical support to our customers and patients, which involves direct patient, physician and clinician interactions including, but not limited to, device implantation, device programming and follow up, technical troubleshooting, staff and patient education, site management and coordination.Work with the broader Rhythm Management team to identify training, research and engagement opportunities for new and existing customers and to then assist with implementation of the devised solutions.Once certified (partial or full) to take part in the on call roster and support the SA CRM business after hours and on weekends when rostered on call.Electrophysiology (EP)Successfully complete EP training programsUtilise your technical knowledge of the field of electrophysiology, biophysics of ablation technologies and electrical mapping principles to:Develop a deep technical understanding of, and provide the technical training of company products to Cardiac Electrophysiologists, Cardiac Physiologists and NursesAttend EP procedures with customers (operating Boston Scientific products where appropriate) providing detailed training/advice to physicians and other key stakeholders on clinical attributes and techniques associated with Boston Scientific electrophysiology productsProvide clinical support including trouble-shooting, and clinical guidance to diagnose and treat cardiac arrhythmiasProvide expert level clinical support for procedures utilising Boston Scientific single shot ablation technologiesKEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED FOR SUCCESSProduct/Technical KnowledgeA thorough understanding of Cardiac ElectrophysiologySuccessfully completes all relevant EP & CRM training.Develop in depth knowledge of EP & CRM procedure, products and treatment applications.Proactively keeps up to date with technical knowledge in EP & CRM.Relationship BuildingBuilds and maintains effective networks that add value in achieving work related goals.Skilled in building rapport with a wide variety of individuals.Understands the balance between taking time to build rapport and achieving objectives set.Works effectively and collaboratively within the team environment.Organisation & ReportingMaintains well organised materials, files, systems and reports.Plans and prioritises territory activity.Makes sure all parts of a job are completed in full, within deadlines, including follow-up plans and documentation.Results FocusedDemonstrates a growth mindset.Measures own performance and seeks feedback for self-developmentDemonstrates resilience and has a strong sense of urgencyRecognises and acts on opportunities.Maintains a flexible approach to meet goals.SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONSPrevious clinical case experience within electrophysiology / rhythm management essentialStrong technical and clinical skillsProven experience in building and maintaining customer relationships.Proven ability to absorb complex technical information and apply this knowledge in the field.Excellent written & verbal communication.Tertiary qualifications in preferred disciplines including biomedical engineering and science-related disciplines.Exposure and understanding of conventional EP. Ability to interpret EP signals. Exposure to 3D Mapping.
