POSITION: CAD/Civil SupportDEPARTMENT: Technical ServicesLOCATION: Baltimore, MarylandSALARY RANGE: $50,000 to $100,000 annualJOB NUMBER: 2023-BALT-01DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:Opportunity to join an industry leader and trusted first choice in remedial construction and environmental dredging. Founded as a general construction business in 1917, Sevenson entered the remediation business in 1979 when it became the principal contractor for the remediation of the Love Canal site, Niagara Falls, New York. Sevenson is a nationally recognized environmental remediation contractor, ranked No. 4 on Engineering and News Record in the country, working with clients to remediate contaminated sites across the United States. We are actively seeking and ambitious and detail orientated CAD Technician/Designer to support our growing office in Baltimore, Maryland. This full-time position will provide CAD design and civil support to our many projects.The daily work may include:Prepare quantity/volume takeoffs for remedial project estimatingSupport design-build projectsPrepare site layouts/grading plansPrepare 3D surface models and prepare cross-sections and 2D data presentationsPrepare as-built surveys and drawingsAssist projects with survey and engineering field issuesPrepare water treatment plant process flow diagrams, single line electrical drawings, sheet pile/shoring alignment and profile drawings, and construction drawings with support from engineeringSKILLS/EXPERIENCE:Intimate working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D with a minimum of 3 years’ experience performing similar work activities as detailed above. Other job requirements include:Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3DMust be able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and be able to pivot to address problems and assist in developing solutionsNot required but beneficial experience includes:Degree in Civil Engineering/Technology/SurveyingSurvey (Topographic or Hydrographic)SALARY/BENEFITS:Salaried position; salary is based on commensurate experience and other qualifications.
