Facilities & Grounds Maintenance Worker IFull-time PositionAnnual Salary: $39,832Assists with general labor in performing routine preventative maintenance and repairs on city water and wastewater facilities, and distribution and collection facilities; and operates various equipment as specified by supervisor.Essential DutiesAssists in performing maintenance and routine repairs on buildings, grounds, process units, and equipment at city water and wastewater treatment plants, wells, and lift stations.Mows, edges, and trims grounds at water and wastewater plants, wells, water towers, and lift stations.Maintains tools and equipment.Assists in performing janitorial duties and maintenance at city buildings.Assists in performing routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment.Assists in cleaning and servicing clarifiers, sludge pumps, sludge drying beds, bar screens, basins, and other equipment.Operates light equipment, including mowers, edgers, and hand tools.Serves as essential emergency personnel when required.Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the position.Performs such other related duties as may be assigned.ACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE AND TRAININGHigh School diploma, or GED equivalent, plus at least one year of general work experience or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIREDMust possess a valid Texas Driver’s License.BENEFITS:Medical, Dental, & Vision – 100% Paid by the city for the employee, option to add dependents.
