Visit us today and check out to see why more people from across the globe are moving here.About the OpportunityReporting to the Health Services Director, the Health Services Manager is responsible for the management, planning and coordination at the E3 Medical Unit - Colchester East Hants Health Centre site, including daily operations of people-centered programs within and external to the Northern Zone, NSH. Responsibilities include process design and redesign initiatives related to improvement activities in the department. The Health Services Manager is also responsible for providing the leadership required to engage the interdisciplinary team to address key clinical practices and utilization management in the provision of quality care throughout the continuum. Knowledge of data information management systems is essential in reporting indicators and outcome measurements. Essential components of this position include a high degree of expertise in decision-making, creativity, interpersonal skills, professional development, and informational roles to perform a wide variety of technical, human, conceptual, leadership, and financial management functions and behaviors. This position also requires a high degree of initiative and change leader shifting ability.About YouWe would love to hear from you if you have the following:Baccalaureate Degree in NursingMasters in Nursing, Health Services Administration or Business Administration is preferredMust be registered with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing or eligible for registrationBCLS certification according to minimal organizational standardsFive to seven years clinical experiencePrevious leadership/management experienceDemonstrated experience in initiating and managing multiple projectsExperience in a unionized environment preferredAbility to work collaboratively with other disciplines and committees to achieve excellence in patient careDemonstrated fiscal and human resource managementRequires a high level of sound judgement, initiative, and self-directionCapable of analytical and creative decision makingDemonstrates high degrees of independent decision making, self-direction, motivation, change management knowledge and team building/leadership skillsCompetencies in other languages an asset, French preferredPlease ensure your resume is up to date and includes all relevant education, experience, training, and certifications.HoursPermanent Full-Time Position; 75Hours BiweeklyCompensation and Benefits$45.45 - $60.39 HourlySuccessful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.Once You've AppliedThank you for your interest in this position.
