This position is located in the European headquarter offices in Windhof (Luxembourg) and will report directly to the Procurement Manager. The Buyer position is responsible for day-to-day orders management for the regional facilities and their suppliers, for indirect materials/services and direct purchasing. The Buyer will also work with the Global Procurement to deliver cost savings and with the regional team to mitigate risks and improve the supply chain.Primary Responsibilities:Supplier Management:Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilitiesDevelop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure long-term partnershipsConduct regular supplier performance reviews and manage supplier contracts and agreementsPurchasing:Process purchase orders in accordance with company policies and proceduresNegotiate prices, terms, and conditions of purchase with suppliersEnsure timely delivery of products and materials, resolving any issues that may ariseCost Management:Analyze market trends and pricing to elaborate relevant sourcing strategiesIdentify opportunities for cost savings and process improvementsPrepare and present cost analysis and reports to managementCompliance and Documentation:Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policiesMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchases, suppliers, and inventoryPrepare and present regular reports on purchasing activities and performanceCross-functional Collaboration:Work closely with the procurement, supply chain, operations and finance teams to support business goalsParticipate in cross-functional projects to improve procurement processes and drive efficienciesCoordinate with Global Procurement on projects and strategiesLive our Values & BehaviorsBack up the regional team as neededCritical Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesProven experience as a raw material Buyer or in a similar roleStrong negotiation and communication skillsKnowledge of market research, data analysis, and purchasing best practicesExcellent organizational and time management abilitiesProficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamFluency in English is mandatory, French is a plusEducation and ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations Chemistry or related field3- 5 years’ experience in Procurement or Supply ChainMoovijob
