DescriptionA fantastic opportunity has arisen to join one of the leading Suppliers/Distributors of automotive/bike accessories and apparel. This innovative and exciting business also has its own well recognised and successful brands. Based on the Derbyshire/Notts border, this is an easily accessible site for commuting from the East Midlands. We are looking for an Assistant Import Merchandiser who will be a key member of the department to be involved in the end to end activity of the Supply team, from placing purchase orders to planning deliveries. This role is a vital part of ensuring the day to day administration functions of the department run smoothly and efficiently.This role is ideal for someone who has ambition to grow and develop in a dynamic new team during an exciting phase of the company’s growth.Assistant Import Merchandiser - Duties & ResponsibilitiesCreating Purchase Orders and PO management on the ERP systemSupport the team in compiling and running central documentation. Including regular reporting using Microsoft ExcelSystem administration to ensure dates and all relevant information is accurateUpdating and monitoring Critical Paths for multiple brandsAssisting with supplier management and monitoring of key dates to ensure orders are on time and any issues are reported to the Supply Manager so a plan can be implemented to minimise the impactRaising inbound shipments on the ERP system and working with internal teams to ensure deliveries are bookedCollating and checking shipping documentation (invoices, packing lists etc) and ensuring they are provided to the relevant internal and external teamsGeneral admin and system housekeepingAssistant Import Merchandiser - RequirementsExperience of working within a merchandising position is preferredIT Literate, especially in Microsoft Excel as you will be working with different spreadsheets.
