The Role:The Program Officer will undertake a range of activities to support the effective and efficient functioning of the Departments Program. This role will be responsible for the development, preparation and maintenance of high-quality program documentation including reporting and planning artefacts, briefings, decision papers and presentations. The role will provide senior-level support to the administration of matters relating to Program planning which includes supporting the planning and coordination of events, such as program increment planning days, showcases and retrospectives.The Program Officer will have excellent relationship management skills, forming and maintaining positive working relationships.Skills and Experience Required:Experience working within large-scale ICT projects or programs, using an Agile methodology.Experience working effectively to manage competing priorities, with an ability to remain calm under pressure and respond flexibly to change and uncertainty.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to effectively communicate information to a range of audiences.Strong attention to detail and experience in managing quality assurance (writing, editing, proof reading) of high volumes of correspondence, briefs, presentations and reports.Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to work with colleagues to achieve outcomes.Confidence and ability to effectively communicate, collaborate and negotiate with team members, business areas and external stakeholders at all levels of seniority.Analysis and investigative skills, gathering information from a variety of sources, exploring new ideas, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and identifying any critical gaps.Proven ability to make sensitive and complex decisions using professional judgement within legislative parameters and delegated authority.Location and Contract Term: This role is Canberra based. 12 month contract contract extension options pending budget and delegate approval.Security Requirements: Applicants must be Australian Citizens.
