Ask questions of guests and make personal connections to make them feel they are welcome and valuedAnticipate and meet the needs and expectations of our guests, then go one step furtherInspect section prior to rushes (wipe tables, clean windowsills, clean table bases, wipe chairs, clean floor)Help maintain the cleanliness of the lobby areaObtain orders from guests ensuring accuracyVerify accuracy of the bill, and present to the guestHandle all cash and credit card charges as prescribed by standard operating proceduresAdvise supervisor of any complaints as soon as possible, but also follow the One More Step/HEART guidelines by taking charge of the issue and offering solutionsComplete assigned shift dutiesPre-bus tables/ DishwashingRun food and beverage items and help others when ableComplete closing shift work/ Opening shift workMake and serve coffee to Starbuck's StandardsPrepare all required items according to make sheets/recipesService items in accordance with established portions and presentation standardsNotify the F&B Supervisor of expected shortagesEnsure that assigned work areas and equipment are clean and sanitaryAssist the F&B Supervisor in maintaining security and safety of the CaféSet up, maintain, service, and break down CaféRequisition items needed to produce menu itemsAdhere to local health and safety regulationsMaintain any logs required by the health departmentCover, date, and neatly store all leftover products that are reusableMaintain the highest sanitary standardsFollow all Suburban Inns ProcessesExhibit regular and recurrent attendance recordsOther duties as requested by managementCafé Attendant Uniform and Appearance Guidelines:Uniform: Uniform shirt and name tag provided. Suburban Inns approved black slacks and black, close-toed, non-slip shoes are the responsibility of the Team Member.Appearance: Visible earrings are allowed in the ears only or must be covered throughout the course of the shift. Hair must be of a natural color and kept well-groomed. This policy will be administered by the position’s supervisor, without regard to race, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability, height, weight, genetics, familial status, veteran status, and other protected characteristics.
