The role:In accordance with organisational policies and the professional code of conduct of the Psychology Board of Australia, the Psychologist - Paediatrics provides a psychological service, including evidence-based assessments and therapeutic interventions, to paediatric patients of the Launceston General Hospital (LGH), including inpatient and outpatient services.Note: - Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.The Team:Psychology consists of a small and mighty team who have a diverse range of skills and knowledge.The role can be shaped to your professional skills and growth goals.The team is always keen to learn more and supported to do so.Details of AppointmentPermanent, part time, day worker position working 30.4 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed date.*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicantApplicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.Salary: $106,966 - $123,013 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.Please note that access to salaries beyond $115,573 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade schemeSalary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022Eligibility:Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria: * Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Psychology Board of AustraliaRegistered with the Psychology Board of AustraliaCurrent Tasmanian Working with Children RegistrationApplicants should note the following criteria are desirable: * Psychology Board of Australia Approved Area of Practice Endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist or Clinical Neuropsychologist.Postgraduate degree in Clinical Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology.Registered with the Psychology Board of Australia as a Board Approved SupervisorThe Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer.
