DescriptionGRADUATES!!!A growing, friendly fashion business is looking for a Graduate Childrenswear Designer to join their team in their Manchester offices!You will work alongside the wider design team to provide integral support across all things creative. Reporting into the Design Manager, you will research trends, create shop reports, liaise with factories, create tech packs, review approvals and provide comments to the factories, chase through sampling and review, as well as log all integral information onto the internal portal.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing fashion childrenswear business, where you will be trained and developed by some of the best in the business.This role is Hybrid- 2-3 days office based further to a passed probationary period.Graduate Childrenswear Designer- The Role:Stay updated on current fashion trends, materials, and techniques.Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and consumer preferences.Chase samples from factories.Complete 1st initial comments with support from Junior Designers and Designers.Develop detailed technical drawings and specifications for garments.Select appropriate pantones and colours for each style and range.Liaise with the production team to ensure specs are a correct representation of the design.Regular store visits/shop reports.Accurate recording of all relevant design information onto the internal system.Respond to customer and factory queries.Liaise with Licensors and assist with checking License approvals including concept, strike offs and PP sample uploads obtaining full product approval.Create and send to the factories new sample requests, style details and accurate artwork: sending reference sources where applicable.Checking initial samples in comparison to tech packs before sending to the customer.Support the design team to ensure all key dates are achieved.Assist the design team with adhoc administration duties.Assist with the design of new packaging for each range where applicable.Graduate Childrenswear Designer- The Person:Have a passion to design trend-led childrenswear.Pro-active and self-starting.Show passion and willingness to learn.Originates / takes action so organisational goals can be met.Demonstrates attention to detail and standards of excellence.To apply please send your CV and portfolio to m.coote@peoplemarketing.co.uk.If the e mail address is not displayed in this advert, then please contact People Marketing directly on 0115 922 3335 quoting the job reference number, and we shall supply you with the correct address.Please note that we cannot accept files in excess of 5MB.We regret that due to the high amount of interest that we receive for each of our vacancies, if you do not hear from one of our consultants within 5 days then unfortunately you have not been shortlisted for this role.Please continue to check our website for any other roles which may be of interest.People Marketing Fashion Recruitment
