JobTitle: Sourcing Manager with Retail ExperienceLocation: San Diego, CADuration: 12 monthsJob Description:As a Sourcing Manager with Retail Experience, you will be responsible for managing vendor relationships, driving category growth, and ensuring profitability through strategic sourcing and financial planning. You will initiate and facilitate competitive bids, negotiations, and resourcing activities while developing financial models and reports to monitor and improve profitability. Your role will involve providing financial guidance to cross-functional teams, developing product cost options, and aligning business needs with vendor capacity for on-time and in-full delivery. You will evaluate vendors based on performance data and establish goals for improvement and matrix optimization.Essential Job Functions:Initiates and facilitates competitive bids, request for quotes (RFQs), negotiations, and resourcing activities to provide vendor matrix options that drive category growth, flexibility, speed to market, and profitability.Develops and distributes financial models and reports to monitor and improve profitability and mitigate financial risk.Provides guidance on financial goals to cross-functional team members and others at the start of new product development cycles.Develops and provides options on product costs to product development and design staff, and merchandising staff.Develops short- and long-term production and financial plans to support strategic business goals.Partners with inventory, merchandising, and planning staff to align business needs with vendor capacity and ensure on-time and in-full delivery.Studies product roadmap, development strategy, and innovation needs, and develops vendor matrix strategies to provide options that deliver on business goals.Evaluates vendors based on qualitative and quantitative data (e.g., performance, quality, pricing, service, etc.) and reviews data with the vendors and internal teams.Establishes goals for vendor improvement and matrix optimization.Education & Experience:10+ years of experience in sourcing management, with a strong background in the retail industry.Skills:Competitive bidding and RFQsFinancial modeling and risk mitigationStrategic financial planningVendor evaluation and managementCross-functional team collaborationProduct development cost analysisBusiness needs alignment with vendor capacityLong-term production and financial planningVendor matrix strategy developmentIntellectt
