DescriptionThis successful lifestyle brand with over 70 stores, over 400 wholesale stockists and a growing online presence, are intensely proud of their beautifully designed product with quality at it heart. We are looking for an Assistant Buyer to work on womenswear (multi-product) working with the buyer to create commercial, seasonal ranges, managing the Critical Path and developing new and innovative collections.There are two available roles:Assistant Buyer – Full Time – Permanent – 3 Days in House @ Cornwall / 2 Days WFHAssistant Buyer – Full Time – One Year Contract – 3 Days in House @ Cornwall / 2 Days WFHAssistant Buyer – Duties and Responsibilities:Develop strong working relationships with suppliers, understanding quality, sustainability and negotiate prices.Understand and keep up to date with the customer, trends and market competitorsWork with the Buyer and Senior Buyer to manage the Critical PathManage, mentor and delegate tasks to the BAAManage data and admin for the department, including meeting minutes, sample tracking and sales reportsReview and understand weekly sales, best and worst sellers and bring ideas for newness and repeats.Attend weekly fit sessions with the technical teams.Assistant Buyer – Skills and Knowledge:Previous experience in a BA or BAA role with apparel is essential.You will be commercially minded and a strong communicator.You will be confident leading development and negotiations with international suppliers.Work well under pressure, successfully manage workloads and solve problems effectively.This is a unique opportunity to join a business working towards a better tomorrow, with dedicated learning and development opportunities to help you grow as well as excellent additional benefits.
