Home: Maitland ManorLocation: Goderich, ONPosition: Activation Aide - 11am-7pm, and 11:30am-7:30-pm(minimum biweekly hours 30)Must have a community college recreation certificate or diploma or equivalent.Experience working with seniors in a long term care setting.Must possess good communication skills, written and verbal. Computer skills an asset, must have a valid drivers licence. An energetic, compassionate person who enjoys working with the elderly.Skills & Abilities/Job RoutinesAssists in the planning, organizing and implementation of meaningful programsPromotes and supports a team environmentWorks co-operatively with the Program Manager and facility volunteersAssists with the maintenance and good human relations with residents, families, volunteers, and staff of other departmentsShares responsibility for the care of the equipment in the departmentFollows Occupational Health & Safety standardsAttends in service educationParticipates in team conferences to plan, develop and assess individual resident care plansPerforms other duties as assignedInterested applicants should apply through this posting.
