Job Description
Our client is looking for a Junior Acquisition Associate who will provide acquisition planning support for various procurement activities, including competitive new starts, sole source acquisitions, contract extensions, and re-competitions. The role involves supporting Program Offices in achieving acquisition goals through contract acquisition activities.Key ResponsibilitiesSupporting specific contracts and programs in acquisition planning.Assisting with internal and external acquisition decision-making briefs and strategic communications.Contributing to the development and review of acquisition policies, planning, processes, and execution of directorate-level acquisition activities.ResponsibilitiesMaintain a schedule of program acquisition activities.Manage collections of current Contract Deliverables Requirements Lists (CDRLs), Statements of Work (SOW), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), and compliance documents.Conduct market research.Support requirements development.Draft Acquisition Strategy Counsel (ASC) briefings as needed.Prepare CDRLs and aid in cost estimate generation.Prepare internal and industry briefings.Develop acquisition strategies and schedules.Justify sole source acquisitions.Generate competitive evaluation criteria.Draft RFIs and RFPs.Draft ECPs and evaluate proposals.Provide administrative support for source selections.Generate technical evaluations for proposals.Support responses to protest actions.Aid in debriefing bidders.Must-HavesBachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, or business.Minimum of 0-3 years of relevant experience.Preference for experience with the NRO, IC, and DoD, in that order.Strong analytic and independent thinking skills.Comprehensive understanding of the NAM/FAR.Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with Government seniors and vendors.Ability to provide guidance and recommendations compliant with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (48 C.F.R. Parts 1-53), Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS, 48 C.F.R.
