Employment Type: Permanent Part TimePosition Classification: Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 1Facility: Nowra Drug & AlcoholRemuneration: $62.05 - $63.31 per hourHours Per Week: 32Requisition ID: REQ505114Applications close: 1 August 2024What you'll be doingThe Substance Use in Pregnancy and Parenting Specialty (SUPPS) Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) is a clinical expert who, through leadership, education, training, and mentoring, facilitates excellence in clinical practice and research and provides expert advice to patients and carers with complex health care needs in relation to substance misuse.The CNC works collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide assessment, treatment, support, crisis intervention, care planning and evaluation of care in line with the NSW Health Clinical Care Standards: Alcohol and Other Drug Treatment. The CNC provides expert consultation and advice to health care workers and external agencies for patients with complex needs through their continuum of care until discharge.The CNC is a clinical expert and is responsible for the provision of high-level person centered, evidence-based clinical nursing care, they are expected to embrace and lead a practice development philosophy in the delivery of care.
