Area ManagerWe are looking for a person with extensive management experience in the hospitality industry to join Future Bars Group as an Area Manager. A couple of the most famous bars in our portfolio include Bourbon and Branch and Local Edition, and we invite you to make them even better! This is not a corporate, office-based position. This is a full-time position requiring being at the front line with our customers, ensuring your team delivers the hospitality standards the company sets. You will have an opportunity to invest in others and develop a collaborative leadership style, while visiting the dedicated locations around SF Downtown, utilizing the resources provided by the HQ Management Team. The Area Manager will report directly to the Operations Director.Responsibilities:Operations:Overseeing the performance of multiple locations (bars) in Downtown San FranciscoVisit the dedicated bars every working day to evaluate hospitality, operations, cleanliness, and efficiencyEvaluating existing operations and developing appropriate strategiesManaging the bar managers, budgets, and expensesEnsuring compliance with the company’s policies and proceduresMonitoring sales results/labor costs to check that goals are metWorking closely with the Purchasing department to monitor inventory useMaking regular reportsPeople Management:Recruiting, training, and evaluating the performance of the bar managersOffer consultation and recommendations to the bar managers on overcoming operations challenges and handling employees’ issuesCreating and communicating sales targets to the bar managers at regular intervalsTraining bar managers in effective sales and supervisory techniquesDeveloping the training program for the lower-level employees with HQ and Bar managers' supportExtra projects:Social Media – evaluating existing approaches and suggesting new strategies if neededQualifications:Bar/Restaurant Management experience is a mustBartending experience is a mustManaging multiple locations is an advantageDegree in business, management, hospitality, or equivalent is a plusProven track record of taking ownership and driving resultsAbility to coach, develop, and motivate othersAbility to evaluate the environment and provide workable business solutionsRecord of critical thinking skillsStrong interpersonal skillsBenefits:Annual salary range $95-120KHealth insuranceDental insuranceVision insurance401(k) with employer matchParental leaveCasual environmentCommuter benefitsResumes without a cover letter stating why you’re interested and why you might be a good member of our team will not be considered.
