Join the statewide team to improve and embed preventive healthcare for pregnant women and their families throughout the antenatal period and beyond. Lead and contribute the development, delivery, and evaluation of evidence-based prevention initiatives statewide, enhancing public health outcomes across various priorities. Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of duties.You will have demonstrated:Demonstrated high level ability to critically analyse information and data and provide evidence-based advice to colleagues, senior management, and other stakeholders on a range of preventive health issues, including for priority population groups.Demonstrated high level planning and project management skills including experience in the coordination, development implementation and evaluation of statewide preventive health interventions or initiatives, including for priority population groups.Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to work as part of a high performing team, communicate confidently and persuasively to a range of internal and external audiences, and undertake effective negotiation and consultation processes.Highly motivated with a demonstrated flexibility in approach to work and the working environment and willingness to participate in initiatives to address priority issues as required by management.About usThe Department of Health is responsible for the overall management of the public health system in Queensland.
