Non-Teaching SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator)Warwickshire - Full timeAre you from any of the following backgrounds then we want to hear from you!Social work, youth work,community work, counselling, teaching or mentoringqualification and /or experience working within a SEND environment.We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join our specialized educational setting in Warwickshire. This non-teaching position is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of students with special educational needs.Proven experience as a SENCO or in a similar role within a special educational needs setting.In-depth knowledge of SEN legislation, policies, and best practices.Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.A compassionate and patient approach to working with students with diverse needs.A relevant degree and SENCO qualification are essential.Key Responsibilities:Oversee and coordinate the provision for students with special educational needs (SEN).Develop, implement, and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students.Conduct assessments to identify students' needs and ensure appropriate support is in place.Act as the main point of contact for parents, carers, external agencies, and other stakeholders regarding SEN provision.Ensure the school meets statutory requirements and follows best practices in SEN.Provide guidance and support to teaching and support staff on SEN strategies and interventions.Organize and deliver professional development opportunities related to SEN.Administer 'special needs and additional needs' arrangements for pupilse.g. staff are aware of their medical conditions.Adhere to the School's rigorous procedures for recording, monitoring analysing andacting upon a range of data including students' attendance, punctuality andreferrals.Contribute to the creation, development, implementation and operation ofprocedures and processes which allow effective liaison with external agencies.Assisting as a member of the SEN team in the supervision of pupils both within andoutside school.Maintain the SEN, medical registerUpdate all Tracking Data kept in the Department as directedProduce invitations for Annual reviews and other meetingsProvide administrative support as appropriate which will include preparingEHC/statements, profiles and additional reports.Input and retrieve and analyse information using SIMS systemsAspire People Limited provides services as an Education Agency and an Education Employment Business.
