Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM Buildings + Places Architectural team is seeking an Architectural Designer to join our team. This position is be based out of Winnipeg, MB office with opportunities for hybrid work.AECOM Buildings + Places Canada (B+P Canada) is a vibrant and growing fully integrated team spanning architecture, all the building's engineering disciplines, landscape architecture, urban planning, urban design, economics and asset management for design and infrastructure projects. Project assignments may include, although not limited to: Transit and Municipal, Commercial, and Institutional projects, Justice, Education and Government.Major Responsibilities:The Architectural Designer will support the Senior Architect by:Performing basic architectural/engineering calculations.Preparing specifications, reports and related data tables.Maintaining liaison with design and drafting groups.Preparing, reviewing, and approving drawings as required.Under the direction of the Supervising Architect, may independently perform advanced technical assignments of various complexities within approved schedules and budgets.May coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating on an assigned project.May assist in the training and evaluation of assigned architectural and design/drafting personnel.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:In order to be considered for this position, candidates must possess no less than:A University Degree in Architecture or other relevant field of study + four (4) years of relevant experience in Architectural design on buildings projects.Demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education may considered.Preferred Requirements:Architectural design experience on any of the following buildings types is preferred: Transit and Municipal, Commercial, and Institutional projects, Justice, Education and Government.Additional InformationCompany paid relocation is not available for this position.Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position.About AECOMAECOM is the world's trusted infrastructure consulting firm, delivering professional services throughout the project lifecycle - from advisory, planning, design and engineering to program and construction management.
