An exciting opportunity exists for a talented and highly motivated individual to join the Office of the General Counsel as Legal Adviser-Public Law Team at the Department of Premier and Cabinet.The Office of the General Counsel provides strategic legal and policy advice to the Premier and Ministers supported by the Department of Premier and Cabinet and related agencies.Reporting to the Co-Managers, Public Law Team, the Legal Adviser will provide strategic, risk-based legal advice and will be part of a high performing team.The Legal Adviser will deliver sensitive legal advice in an in-house environment on public law issues including administrative law, constitutional law, Executive Government inquiries and statutory interpretation.We are seeking a hard-working Legal Adviser with strong technical, legal and conceptual skills, to join a dedicated team of high performing lawyers in the Public Law Team. You must be admitted to practice as an Australian lawyer and eligible to hold a Victorian practising certificate.
