Staff become proud advocates of these dear members of the household, to continue giving outstanding care.At MiCare, it doesn't feel like work, it feels like a happy home where everyone looks forward to coming.About the role ...We are looking for a Registered Nurse to provide high levels of clinical care to our elders who live at our Carrum Downs Residential Facility.The Registered Nurse will ensure that elder care needs are achieved inaccordance with care plans through ongoing assessment, planningimplementation, evaluation and documentation, utilizing a holistic approachand refer any areas of concern related to clinical matters.The successful incumbent will work as part of the broader team of Registered Nurses to ably support the Care Manager and Facility Manager to supervise Universal Workers and Enrolled Nurses with mentoring or oversight. Key responsibilities will include:Ensuring that elder's physical health is maintained at the highest possible levelEnsure that families are fully informed about their relatives careManage and direct the care in day to day activities for the eldersAdhere to Health and Safety legislation, Policy and ProceduresMaintaining appropriate documentationMedication management and administrationProvide leadership in accordance to the Eden philosophy of careAbout you ...You will have strong communication skills with a flexible, caring, patient attitude and collaborative approach in your practice as a Registered Nurse.Qualifications:Registered Nurse Division 1Current practicing certificate with the AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency)Post graduate evidence of formal educationDemonstrated ongoing education and personal development.SkillsAn ability to work with persons living with dementiaExperience in pain management, palliative careExperience in pain management, palliative careAbility to mentor staff, and act as a resource in regards to clinical issuesAbility to maintain clinical requirements by checking charts, care plansThe ability to work in a culturally sensitive manner within an ethno-specific environmentThe ability to work with frail and/or confused elders and their families within the Accreditation Standards and funding guidelinesThe ability to accept and give direction and to work with minimal supervisionA police check with no disclosable outcome, medicare evidence of current influenza and full COVID-19 vaccination, including dose 3 is required by MiCare for this position.A commitment to work exclusively with MiCare Residential Aged Care facility as your only employer during COVID-19 will be highly regarded.How to apply ...Please provide a copy of your resume.
