Main duties of the job Main Duties: To work as part of a multidisciplinary team assisting with patient care and other departmental-related duties as directed by a Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife to ensure safe, kind and compassionate care for patients. Detailed job description and main responsibilities Healthcare Support Worker As a Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW) you will work under the guidance of a qualified healthcare professional, usually a Nurse or Midwife, to ensure safe, kind and compassionate care for patients. We are looking for staff who will be available to work a variety of shifts covering a 24 hour period, to be able to support our patients when needed. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team assisting with patient care and other departmental related duties. CUH offers a comprehensive two week clinical support staff induction programme and support to achieve the National Care Certificate. This will equip you to find your feet within the organisation and quickly feel like a valued member of the clinical team/s. We are currently recruiting for a wide variety of wards, including our Care for the Elderly and amongst many more. Please note we are only recruiting for Permanent Healthcare Support Workers As per Home Office guidelines. Please be aware that, unfortunately, the Trust is unable to offer sponsorship for this particular position. If you are a Student Visa holder we are unable to proceed with your application.
