Orals Packaging Operations Manager

In this role you will

  • Demonstrate leadership and development of the operational area in order to deliver on commitments made to our patients, customers and GSK stakeholders. You will be responsible for full line management of the packaging operational area, maintain a complaint operational area in terms of health, safety and environmental requirements whilst ensuring that all Quality and cGMP standards are complied with.

  • Lead a shift team with Team Leaders and Technicians totalling between 70-80 whilst liaising closely with support functions such as Engineering, Operational Quality and Manufacturing Science and Technology teams.

  • Ensure manufacture and supply of strategic products to the GSK supply chain on time and in full.

  • Review financial performance planning, monitoring and delivering the required business performance.

  • To seek to constantly improve operations by the use of appropriate Operational Excellence tools and techniques whilst coaching your team to do the same.

  • To comply with all company and statutory requirements taking account of all relevant HR and L&D processes and mechanisms.


Why you?

Qualifications & Skills:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Degree and or correct equivalent experience.

  • Strong experience of pharmaceutical manufacturing or packaging operations in a first line leader role or equivalent operations support role. Lean Sigma Green or Black Belt accredited.

  • Good understanding of the Quality Management System and Environmental Health & Safety processes.

  • Evidence of delivery in a fast-paced pharmaceutical setting.


Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Degree qualified in a Science or Engineering discipline.

  • Operating at a second line leader level in GSK or another organisation.

  • Ability to demonstrate coaching and development of team.
