Your Opportunity
- Senior Internal Auditor
- Based in Salford Quays, Manchester UK
- Permanent & full-time working 37.5 hours per week
At Pearson VUE, we have an exciting opportunity for an Internal Auditor to join our business assurance team based in the Salford Quays office where you will be responsible for assisting the Global Audit Manager alongside the audit team in objectively and independently evaluating the effectiveness of management controls over business activities.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Leading and conducting internal audits against a variety of methodologies and frameworks as part of the audit team - ensuring that audits are planned, conducted and reported appropriately.
- Creating audit reports and raising findings based on areas of weakness or opportunities for improvement.
- Assisting the business during external audits by working with the relevant audit body to plan, schedule and support external audits.
- Supporting the implementation and maintenance of ISO management systems including ISO 27001.
- Conducting Supplier Audits to an agreed scope, working collaboratively with the supplier and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure that corrective and preventive actions are appropriately followed up and fed back into the audit cycle to ensure that their ongoing effectiveness is monitored and measured.
Our Successful Candidate
- A qualified Lead Auditor preferably for ISO 27001.
- Demonstrable experience and working of regulatory, industry and security compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 and SOC2.
- Strong knowledge of information systems such as Office 365, Azure, server, and desktop platforms.
- A strong understanding of cyber security risks
- Strong stakeholder management experience
- An excellent understanding of business continuity, information security, quality, process, and risk methodologies.
- Excellent relationship building skills and the ability to successfully communicate to all audience types, and across cultures.
- Adept at translating the requirements of management systems and controls into business practice.
- Demonstrates a ‘can-do’ attitude with the ability to work closely with others and independently, along with a strong focus/commitment to continual improvement.
- Able to hit the ground running and complete internal audits with minimal supervision.
