We are looking for a Night Support Worker to be based in one of our Community Resource Centre (CRC) at Charlton House, Keynsham on a part-time basis on permanent contract.

Charlton House is a residential and nursing care home that provides care and health services in a safe environment for older vulnerable adults with a variety of disabilities. It offers a broad range of activities which aim to promote independence by developing or maintaining and enhancing people’s skills, interests, and abilities.

Within the Night Support worker role, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a fantastic team of carers and support teams.

This is part time position working 33.21 hours per week on 4- week rolling rota. Shifts will include working some weekends and Bank holidays.

What is a Community Resource Centre (CRC)?

Bath and North East Somerset have three care homes which are Community Resource Centres located in Keynsham, Bath and Midsomer Norton. Each Community Resource Centre includes a residential care home for between 30 and 45 people, and these homes provide important services to older people in our community. We provide care and health services in a comfortable, safe environment for older vulnerable adults with a variety of disabilities, including dementia.

Our Night Support workers at these centres work hard to offer residents the opportunity to retain as much independence as possible and to enjoy their lives.

As a Night Support Worker:

  • You will be a good team player and have great communication skills
  • You will be able to develop appropriate and professional relationships with our residents and carers, which value them as individuals, including establishing and maintaining effective communication
  • You will be able to promote and maintain person-centred service and operate safely appropriate equipment with training.

We provide care to the standard we expect for ourselves and our families. We offer a working environment where high quality care and compassion are respected and rewarded.

About you

Previous comprehensive experience of working in care would be desirable, but a commitment to deliver quality care is essential. We like to ensure that we encourage people to be empowered in a supportive environment. We would welcome applicants from different employment backgrounds such as nursing, learning disabilities and health care.
