Your responsibilities and tasks:

During the engineering graduate program, you will have the opportunity to rotate between 3-4 teams within HRT division over 24-36 months to gain a wide exposure to the different roles and challenges of each department. This includes an option for international placement in one of our manufacturing premises in Germany or Netherlands.

As part of the sales proposals team, you will be working closely with clients at early stages of the project to understand their requirements and develop the most suitable solution from an operational, commercial and sustainability perspective.

As a project progresses through its cycle into execution phase, you would be involved in the detailed design & modelling work which involves liaising with cross-functional teams including external contractors and client.

During the construction & installation phase, you could get involved in overseeing the delivery and execution of the project as part of our project management and commissioning team for a more hands on experience on site.

As part of your international placement in one GEA’s factories, your could be involved in teams such as Product Management, Digitalisation, Research & Development, or Testing & Validation.

The various placements will aim to provide you with a holistic view of a complete project lifecycle to help you develop an all-rounded technical & commercial skillset during the graduate program. As part of your training, you will:-

  • Have the opportunity to travel to our factories in Germany & Netherlands to receive in-house training on GEA’s technology.

  • Receive on-the-job technical mentoring and classroom training where required.

  • Work on live client projects, with significant multi-disciplinary exposure from day one.

  • Be provided with the tools and support you need to achieve further professional development ambitions, including Chartership with the relevant international professional institution.

Your profile and qualifications:

  • University graduate with BEng or MEng (Preferred) degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 2:1 Honours.

  • Good understanding of Thermodynamics.

  • Familiar with interpreting process instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).

  • Experience of managing projects (university/internship projects)

  • Experience in analysing data & writing technical reports.

  • Good competency in Microsoft Office packages is essential.

  • Experience in VBA/Coding is a plus.

  • Experience of working in a design environment and AutoCAD proficiency is a plus.

  • Placement/internship experience is a plus.

  • Strong English verbal and writing skills.

  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.

  • Self-motivated with pro-active attitude and desire to learn.

  • Analytical mindset with problem solving approach.

  • Good planning and organisational skills.

  • A full clean UK driving license is a plus.
