Superstore Stock Driver Dundee Superstore
£20,000- £24,000
Reports to: Deputy divisional manager
Department: Trading
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 including weekends (on rotational basis) between the hours of 8:30am-18:30pm
Location: Dundee/Aberdeen – Driver ideally based in Aberdeen however, will be delivering in and around the Dundee area circa 3 days a week the remaining time will based in Aberdeen.
Closing date: Open until filled. We will be shortlisting on a rolling basis and will close the vacancy once we have received sufficient applications.

We’re looking for a talented retail driver to join Cancer Research UK’s trading team. You’ll be acting as an ambassador for Cancer Research UK, increasing the profitability of the shops and superstores through the distribution of donated and new stock.

What will I be doing?
  • Working with the team to identify opportunities to generate quality donated goods.
  • Ensuring effective stock flow by transferring goods between shop locations.
  • Supporting divisional and national stock movement in relation to stock generation campaigns.
  • Assisting new shop and superstore openings and re-fits by managing the movement and storage of stock and equipment.
  • Using your customer service skills to make sure our customers and supporters feel welcome and appreciated.
  • Supporting fundraising events including movement of stock and equipment.
  • You will be required to deliver in the Dundee area circa 3 days per week and the remaining days in the week will be based at our Aberdeen store where you will be required to manage stock processing duties within the store or assist with deliveries in the Aberdeen area
What skills are you looking for?
  • Considerable driving experience with the ability to drive safely and confidently, often in unfamiliar areas.
  • Manual handling experience with the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Comfort in completing paperwork correctly and managing your own workload in a busy environment.
  • A full driving licence and good driving record.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people.
This role involves travel across the region, the successful applicant must live within a reasonable distance from the region and have a full UK driving licence. A manual vehicle will be provided, and travel costs are covered via a fuel card in line with Cancer Research UK’s travel and expenses policy.
