About the role

First things first: you want to know what you're actually applying for. It's impossible to capture every nuance of a role – especially at a rapidly growing company like Mews – but if we had to distil it down to a job description (which we do because this is a job description), it would be this:

As a Staff Solution Architect, you will be responsible for providing guidance and support to a subset of regions covered by Solutions Architects. This includes running weekly one-on-one meetings to ensure they are fully equipped and enabled to perform their duties, liaising with relevant stakeholders to overcome any hurdles. You will be expected to contribute to the team effort and lead by example as you support the growth of the business by providing presales support throughout the sales cycle on high-valued opportunities in your designated region.

✅ Your mission, should you choose to accept it:

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of a Solutions Architects team
  • Provide coaching to members of the team as they grow in their roles
  • Hold members accountable for their efforts in achieving the team KPIs
  • Contribute to the team effort by supporting prospective customers, acting as the primary resource on product and technical knowledge, helping to resolve any unmet technical needs or issues clients may have
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to increase efficiency and effectiveness of product sales from the top of the funnel to project delivery and pinpoint areas for improvement
  • Aligning with RnD on future roadmap initiatives and sharing feedback on released features and client trends
  • Attend international conferences, events and represent Mews where required
  • Adopt the relevant processes, procedures, and policies to ensure a consistently high level of service is adhered to
  • Where necessary, identify short falls in the process and procedures and suggest process improvements and work with the necessary departments to ensure they come to fruition
  • Interviewing candidates for open roles
  • Control the onboarding for additional Team members, ensuring we keep to a defined ramp period

You'll be a great fit if you bring a few of the below with you

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as a sales engineer, pre-sales, product specialist and/ or technical sales;
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as a team lead or other supervisory position;
  • Proven track record selling complex technical SaaS solutions;
  • Strong knowledge of Cloud, SaaS, and/ or Enterprise Solutions;
  • Must be able to communicate technological solutions and product knowledge not only to technical but to business users as well;
  • Understanding of the Sales Cycle and where the Sales Engineering Team is responsible;
  • Ability to maintain focus and business acumen under sometimes stressful sales/business negotiations;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced company, ready to work on your own or as part of a team;
  • Highly structured and organized;
  • A driver of new ideas and suggestions in order to move the company forward;
  • Not afraid to challenge the status quo;
  • Outgoing, social, ready to communicate with employees, customers and partners across different countries and different organizational levels.
