Salary: £50,000 to £55,000 Depending on experience
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Development Manager, you will define the development strategy and have oversight of our major projects programme. We are seeking a dynamic and outcomes focused Development Manager who will lead on delivery of a pipeline of high-quality and compliant new build developments across the UK for provision of specialist care to the people we support.
The role will be Hybrid working with very regular travel to Group Support/Voyage Care services and sites across the UK.

Our passionate 11,000+ staff support 3,500+ vulnerable adults and children with learning disabilities, autism, brain injuries and complex needs across the UK.
What you’ll get to do:
All aspects of the new developments pipeline from land sourcing and viability appraisal through design development and construction to handover and post occupation reviews. The Development Manager will play a pivotal role in achieving this strategic growth objective for Voyage Care and shaping the future of our property portfolio.
Establish a governance framework and implement robust policies, processes and procedures to deliver projects that meet agreed KPIs, ensuring that the programme of new-build developments is on time and budget whilst providing a first-class, customer focused service.

Developing safe, compliant and attractive home environments for the people we support and workplaces for our colleagues and will ensure compliance with statutory regulations together with any other regulatory requirements.

Providing strong leadership and will always operate in line with our ETHOS values. You will promote a positive team culture of continuous improvement and high performance, driving a step change in outcomes and effectiveness.

Working alongside our field based operational colleagues and other internal subject matter experts to ensure new-build developments are delivered effectively and their value is optimised.

Establishing, improving, and managing a range of KPI’s/measures to ensure effective performance and efficient project delivery based on stakeholder and customer feedback. Central to the accountability of the team is the provision of reliable and accurate reports to internal stakeholders, including our Executive Committee and the Board.

Overseeing the contractual performance and management of contractors, working with external design teams, and establishing robust commercial arrangements and processes to ensure we achieve best value for money.
