Role Overview:


The JD Studio is responsible for providing all round creative solutions for the JD Group. Working from 'Concept to Creation', we deliver industry leading campaigns across digital, Social, OOH, TVC and print media.


We are looking for a highly skilled Senior creative to join our team. An ideal candidate will have a track record in leading campaigns and developing and leading junior members team.


You'll also be involved in a conceptualising idea, budget managing, pitching concepts, being on set for productions and delivering on brand & on budget campaigns. Key Areas of Responsibility


  • Managing the day to day of a skilled team of creatives at junior and mid weight level
  • You are positive, proactive and solutions driven. Thrive on constructive feedback, actively seeking personal and team development opportunities.
  • Strive for creative greatness in an ever-evolving creative landscape.
  • Lead on some creative concepts and work collaboratively with the creative lead to bring them to life.
  • Connect with your Creative Lead to identify insights and define the creative approach for the brand.
  • Work closely with the Creative Lead to implement innovative solutions within the studio process.
  • Answer creative briefs with innovative thinking and solutions, present visually enticing presentations to both internal team members and external stakeholders.
  • Researching relevant industry and consumer trends and present your finding to the wider team.
  • Conceptualise campaign Ideas, research/ referencing. This can range from 3rd Party Brand, own brand, and brand campaigns.
  • Consistently maintain high-quality projects in line with the JD brand guidelines and creative requirements.
  • Develop a strong relationship with all studio functions. You will be a vital part of the campaign process.
  • Collaborate with team leaders in the studio ensuring the delivery of campaigns on time and on budget. Be the lead in creative meetings, ensuring that everyone has the information required.
  • Work in a 360 approach from 'Concept to Creation'. Understand other creative functions in the studio, such as, Photography, Video, Artwork & Design, Motion Design and Retouch.
  • Be an advocate for the JD Studio Team, acting as internal and 3rd party ambassador, able to proactively extol the unique skills of the internal team.
  • Be a leader with on set direction ensuring Photography, Video & Styling are connected.
  • Must be able to give direction in a constructive, motivating & polite manner to engage and inspire your team.
  • Effective time management is essential. You ensure that you are delivering work on time and are deadline driven, being able to guide the rest of the team members on best practice.
  • Mentor and coach peers and junior members of the team. Manage team members with regular 1-2-1s.
  • Constantly monitor KPI's and objectives within the team.
  • Motivate & lead the team to achieve industry leading results.
  • Monitor progress and report to the Creative Lead on the results of the team.
  • Lead the team with constructive feedback that offers junior members confidence to improve and help proactively manage under performance.

Skills/Experience/Knowledge needed:


  • Have an understanding of the JD Group
  • Proven experience within a similar role (min 3 years)
  • You have excellent creative concepting and communication skills
  • You are an experienced problem-solver that can think out-of-the-box
  • Must be organised and able to manage workloads
  • Maintain a strong and broad knowledge of fashion content trends
  • Able to work accurately, effectively, and quickly turn work around whilst maintaining a high level of quality
  • Display high levels of resilience
  • Able to react to retail in an ever-changing environment
  • Must be self-motivated and pro-active
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong all round creative portfolio
  • Desire to develop deep understanding of the nuances associated with individual creative disciplines
  • Ability to clearly articulate ideas to key stakeholders and other team members
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills over email and phone
  • Must be passionate for creative and have an interest in retail
  • Desire to develop and gain a greater understanding of the business
  • Appetite to move creative forward and create exciting, on brand campaigns

  • Proven experience in social media content production.
  • A high attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is expected.
