Are you highly commercial, with the ability to use analysis tools and audience insight to optimise marketing activity and achieve results?


Would you like to use your expertise to support Oxfam in achieving our ambitious e-commerce growth plans, attracting and retaining customers and providing a first-class shopping experience?


We are looking for an E-commerce Marketing Manager to develop and deliver Oxfam’s online retail marketing strategy across the full spectrum of channels.


The Role


Oxfam’s Online Shop is unique – selling all kinds of second hand gems from vintage designer to quirky homewares, thousands of books, rare vinyl and everything in between, alongside Oxfam Unwrapped virtual gifts, and an expanding range of new Sourced by Oxfam products.


In this role you’ll establish the direction for our promotional calendar and lead key seasonal campaigns such as Oxfam’s Second Hand September and Christmas. Attraction and engagement of new shoppers is central to this role, alongside retention and development of our existing loyal customer base. You’ll manage the marketing budget and optimise activity to meet defined benchmarks.


As an experienced people manager you’ll be leading a talented team to deliver these marketing plans; driving traffic, brand awareness and sales


What we are looking for


We’re looking for a candidate who cares about Oxfam's mission to end poverty and is personally aligned to the values of empowerment, accountability and inclusion in all you do and our feminist principles.


An ideal candidate for the role will also be / have:

  • Experience of e-commerce marketing, demonstrating expertise in driving customer acquisition and retention and delivering excellent customer experience. Proven success in driving results across digital marketing channels (paid acquisition, social media, web, email)
  • Significant knowledge and understanding of the current retail landscape alongside a passion for charity shopping and second hand
  • Experience managing performance of others and helping people to develop, grow and achieve their potential, including increasing diversity and inclusion in teams and / or workplaces.
  • Excellent campaign project management skills and experience of delivering high quality and digital marketing activity on time and to budget
  • Proven creativity and vision in the development of compelling marketing and promotional plans.
  • Ability to analyse, interpret, and apply data to make evidence-based commercial decisions and optimise performance. Experience of using web analytics software including Google Analytics
  • Strong understanding of content strategy and SEO
  • Ability and drive to achieve results and targets in an audience-focused way
  • Excellent relationship building skills with ability to nurture strong networks and influence within a complex and dynamic organisation.
