The role
We have an exciting new opportunity to join our London based Resourcing & Development team as Head of Talent Management and Engagement on a permanent basis.
Reporting to the HR Director, your key responsibility will be to manage the talent and succession planning and engagement across ITV.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading a high performing team of 6 direct reports to design and deliver a number of key R&D initiatives and processes.
- All aspects of talent succession including: understanding the breadth and diversity of our succession plans, identifying and developing our high potentials to enable them to move into more senior positions in accelerated timeframes, building out bespoke development for identified successors, partnering with our HR Business Partner teams to build out robust succession plans.
- Draft & prepare People Reports on our people strategy and the progress against our key people objectives for internal & external stakeholders.
- Providing insight into the actions taken to highlight and address our key people risks and monitoring & evaluation our culture.
- Draft & prepare the Plc Board/Nominations Committee Report.
- Management of senior level bespoke development - executive coaching, psychometric insights and 360 feedback.
- Engagement and management of our executive coaches - working with individuals to understand their coaching requirements as well as managing our external executive coaches.
- Partner with HRD’s to develop organisational wide talent retention and development initiatives and to identify and develop individual development plans for key talent.
- ITV Engagement strategy; Design & Deliver full engagement surveys / pulse and team surveys; analysis, insights and actions to drive increased levels of engagement working collaboratively with the HR BP’s to build action plans and the Internal Comms team to deliver ongoing comms & engagement plans.
- Work across broader Resourcing & Development and HR projects/activities as required.
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)
- Extensive experience in the design and delivery of a talent management strategy - with a focus on identification of high potentials, successor development and use of best practice to continue to evolve approach to talent management.
- Strong stakeholder management - Partnering with HR and Business stakeholders to drive talent & engagement through the organisation.
- Experience of writing reports & presentations for PLC & Management Boards.
- Ability to disseminate information in a impactful & concise way, providing the right level of information and narrative relevant to the audience.
- Experience of leading, coaching and motivating a team.

- Ability to quickly develop a strong understanding of the business and maintain excellent relationships with key stakeholders across HR and the business.
- Facilitate cross divisional moves and development activities in line development plans for identified successors.
- Ability to analyse, measure and monitor key talent & engagement metrics and targets.
- Understanding of engagement and how to drive engagement and actions across the organisation.
- Good attention to detail with ability to work at both the strategic level and be able to understand and communicate the detail as required.
- Able to bring in external best practice to ensure projects are best in class.
- A strong track record in consulting with key stakeholders across a complex organisation.
