About the role
Are you interested in working with cutting-edge drone technology and making a meaningful impact in the industry? We are seeking a passionate and skilled User Researcher to join our team and help us develop innovative drone solutions that meet the needs of our customers.
As a User Researcher, you will be responsible for conducting research to understand user needs, behaviours, and motivations related to drone solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, engineers, and data scientists to ensure our products are user-centred and meet the needs of our customers.
This role will be based 3 days in the office, with 2 days remote.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct user research using a variety of methods, such as interviews, surveys, usability testing, and analytics, to gather insights about user needs, behaviours, and motivations related to drone solutions
  • Work with cross-functional teams to define research objectives, hypotheses, and metrics
  • Analyse and synthesize research findings into actionable insights and recommendations for product development
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to ensure user needs are incorporated into product design and development
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate product performance and user feedback to inform ongoing product development and improvement
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the drone industry and use this knowledge to inform research and product development
  • Define and deliver the user research & testing strategy for various Drone Solutions concepts and ventures during all stages of the lifecycle, ensuring findings are input into the wider Digital strategy (working with the group insights team when appropriate)


Collating and joining up:
  • Work closely with multiple verticals of multi-skilled teams to support ongoing research that helps qualify and refine customer solutions
  • Build a Customer Research User Base of internal and external customers to test, making yourself accountable for ensuring research provides actionable recommendations without duplication

Expected Technical Ability
  • Requires extensive experience across user research methodologies with an in-depth understanding of Digital accessibility, ensuring use of assistive technologies
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, with an intrinsic ability to keep it simple

  • Have experience driving efficient ways of working, looking to use strategic thinking and planning to create a best-in-class operating model

  • Track record of discovering issues and user needs through qualitive learning using a wide range of research methods including moderated lab-based and unmoderated testing
  • Qualitive behavioural analysis, feeding data and analytics to drive understanding of user actions, using formative and summative user research activities
  • Running lab facilities and enabling accessible and inclusive design
  • An in depth understanding of persona mapping, usability testing, wire framing, Data analysis, design strategy, user flows and journey mapping
