UK Senior Brand Manager - ViiV Healthcare

Location: GSK House – Brentford, UK

Flexible Working – 2-3 days a week in the office

Job Purpose

The Senior Brand Manager will be responsible for leading the commercial strategy of a key innovation brand in the ViiV portfolio. The individual must have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and complex environment and will lead a cross functional team to define, optimise, and execute the strategic and operational plans. These plans will be aligned to the agreed global strategy and tailored to the UK’s local needs. They will need to be commercially astute to understand the market dynamics and drivers and adapt the plan over time to ensure competitiveness and success.

Your responsibilities

  • Responsible for delivery of the brands’ strategy and tactics including a robust and impactful cross functional plan, which communicates an effective value proposition, challenges the status quo, and resonates with relevant HIV stakeholders. Specifically, this will include:
    • Embedding and optimisation of new campaign with x-functional team and development of supporting tactics
    • Collaborating with broader marketing and sales team to build advocacy for the brand including congress presence and P2P events
    • Partnering with in-field teams to ensure they have competitive materials and provide feedback to Global/ Europe partners on impact and optimisation opportunities.
  • Responsible for understanding the market dynamics, drivers, and barriers. Collaborate with individuals across the business, including Market Access, Commercial, Policy, Medical and In-Field teams to refine the approach as needed to ensure competitiveness. Be prepared to think outside the box and make bold decisions as part of this to influence performance trajectory.
  • Regularly review plan progress and develop and implement systems and processes that drive excellence in execution through tiered accountability, KPIs, visual metrics, regular performance reviews and effective escalation and resolution of issues.
  • Represent the UK at the Above Country networks, to shape strategic and tactical plans and ensure the needs and challenges of the UK business are understood. Build strong relationships as part of this, including managing the interplay as needed between the Global and European requirements
  • Where necessary, be prepared to work beyond core role to deliver best results for the organisation

Basic Qualifications

  • University Degree in Business, Science or similar fields OR equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in successfully leading complex cross functional projects and teams with strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Results-orientated with a sense of urgency and customer focus, resilient when overcoming obstacles.
  • Strong partner relationship and collaboration skills - ability to influence and drive results in ambiguous and challenging situations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with novel products
  • Understanding of relevant clinical stakeholders, funding processes and the local healthcare system (including access and routes to market) for HIV or prevention products.
  • HIV or Vaccines experience
