The Role & Responsibilities

Campaign development and delivery

  • Support the Consumer Marketing team in planning marketing activity (with a digital focus) to support our growth ambitions and manage the activity from plans agreed, all the way through to execution, delivery and reporting
  • Ensure activity is designed to reach our target audience(s), is on-brand and aligns with our messaging.
  • Support the Consumer Marketing team in the design of assets required for that activity (artwork, text/copy etc)
  • Work with Group Marketing Team and agencies execute activity and support with the day-to-day management of activity
  • Work with Group Marketing Team and agencies to regularly report on performance (monthly and adhoc) and implement improvements
  • Assist the Consumer Marketing Team in scoping future activity and channels we can build into our plans. Develop and execute test and learn programmes to evaluate its effectiveness for more long-term use

Content management and delivery

  • Work with Group Marketing to manage and improve website content and develop new content when required
  • Regularly audit the site and collaborate with agencies to change and update website pages
  • Manage tracking and reporting on website activity (work with Group Marketing to develop our data dashboards (lookerstudio/Piwik))
  • Manage all technical SEO tasks and liaise with Group Marketing to deliver these
  • Where appropriate, work with the product managers and product delivery teams to support the design, development or enhancement of digital journeys.

Market and customer understanding

  • Work closely with Customer Insights and Product teams to continuously develop our customer understanding and market knowledge
  • Be a standing member within the Consumer Customer Experience forum to help deliver incremental and tangible change in how customer interact with and experience Shawbrook
  • Where required, assist in the implementation of customer experience tools to better understand customer need.
  • Work with Customer Insights and product management teams on ad-hoc customer and market research requirements.

Campaign effectiveness and insight

  • Monitor and report on marketing activities that have been executed
  • Work with agencies to produce monthly performance reports which also covers:
  • Emerging trends
  • Areas for improvement
  • Optimisations and Next Steps
  • Support the Marketing Manager in delivering a monthly reporting meeting, produce agenda and present latest results. (include all relevant stakeholders)
  • Generate a monthly competitor and insights report that allows us to have oversight of external activity.
  • Work alongside relevant business stakeholders to scope, develop and implement ways in which we can enhance how we collect, use and display data to generate better insight and inform future activity

Agency support

  • With the MM, manage day-to-day contact with digital agencies and their requests
  • Take minutes of weekly and monthly meetings. Record actions, and work with stakeholders to deliver actions

Risk Management

  • Ensure marketing materials are compliant with FCA regulation
  • Manage consumer marketing sign off process. Ensure all appropriate people are engaged with

The Person

  • Relevant digital marketing degree (desirable)
  • Relevant marketing/digital professional qualification
  • Previous experience in marketing role(s) and supporting the execution and delivery of marketing campaigns (including PPC, affiliates SEO, social media, display and programmatic)
  • Working knowledge of CMS or DXP eg. Umbraco, Sitecore
  • Good experience with data analysis/tracking tools and the use of the data for marketing effectiveness reporting
  • Knowledge/experience of Consumer / Business banking products (Desirable)
  • Experience in a service / regulated sector (Desirable)
  • Data analysis skills and financial acumen
  • Experience of CMS, CRM and CDP tools (Umbraco and Zendesk desirable).
  • Analytics tools eg. Google Analytics, Piwik Pro, Power BI, Adobe Experience Cloud, Zendesk
  • Analytics experience with the flexibility to integrate on and offline data
  • Knowledge of email and SMS marketing, and experience in using email marketing platforms
  • A good understand of how technical and content SEO, search advertising (via google and bing), display platforms, social media advertising works
  • Excellent copywriting and proof-reading skills
  • Good design awareness and ability to manage creative agencies
  • Knowledge and understanding of FCA and Data Protection regulations (desirable)
