The purpose of this role is to lead all aspects of the Worthing Secondary manufacturing and appropriate aspects of managing Worthing Campus.
Key responsibilities :
Strategy and direction
To set the vision and strategy for the site aligned with the PSC & GSK strategy.
Coordinate and direct diverse production and technical functional activities on Site toward achievement of goals.
Ensures alignment of the Site with the Supply Chain, Network and GSK through timely and interactive communication.
Customer Service / Supply Chain Management
Manage the interface between Sites and with rest of the organisation (Corporate and Commercial).
Proactively manages risk inherent in production and Site operations to ensure supply continuity to GSKs Commercial business.
Ensure all trading service agreements are properly managed.
Quality Responsibilities
Implement QMS in all parts of the Worthing Site.
Identify and implement quality audits and self inspections.
Ensure the timely implementation of all recommendations arising from all audits.
Ensure all staff on Site are trained to the standards required in our PSC policy.
Drive the adoption of a RFT/quality culture across the Worthing Site.
Health, Safety and Environment
Ensure Campus compliance with all Health and Safety, Environmental, Quality and Regulatory requirements.
Implement programmes to ensure safe working practices, and health of the workforce.
People Management and Development
To lead, train, develop and motivate Site management and employees towards the pursuit of operational excellence and attainment of Good Manufacturing Practice.
Manage a significant number of people through effective performance management and labour relations excellence.
Change & Process Management
Communications
Represents the face of GSK to external bodies, customers, and local community within region/country, also has legal responsibilities e.g. safety, and environmental.
Contacts & Relationships
Interface with all staff across the Worthing Site.
Network across PSC, with particular focus on Secondary customers
Managing Site business performance through the establishment of a number of Governance Boards.
Lead the following:
Site Leadership Team
Quality Council
EHS Council
Member of the Primary and Antibiotics Leadership Team and associated Governance meetings.
Interface with HSE, EA and External Quality Regulators e.g. MHRA and FDA.
Experience and Education Required:
Degree level qualification preferably in Science, Engineering or financial Specialization
Experience of working at more than one Site either within or outside GSK
Technical background with experience of working in/leading a production team
Proven record f achievement in a rapidly changing manufacturing environment
Significant management experience within manufacturing and supply environment.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
Broad business understanding and experience.
