The Product Management and Market Segments team are the ‘go-to’ team for insight, expertise and inspiration. We enable a culture within CT of disruption, innovation and a customer led transformation to a more sustainable world.
As a team we must possess a clear understanding of customer stakeholders and what drives them to behave in the way they do. Understand the competitive marketplace, recognise key trends, and identify the things that our customers want. Deliver valuable solutions that meet their needs at the right price, promote them in the right place and at the right time.
The market analyst will collect, and analyse information related to market drivers and trends, products, services and competitors in CT relevant markets. They will then support the use of this information alongside the relevant market managers, and leadership within CT to develop future marketing plans and make informed decisions on future strategy. The market analyst will also support larger marketing initiatives, training and cross functional information gathering meetings.
Catalyst Technologies (CT) is a market leader in the syngas value chain. It develops and supplies high-value, specialty process technology and catalysts for chemicals and fuels processing to enable our customers to operate efficiently, profitably and sustainably. With CT at the forefront of the transition to sustainable chemicals and fuels, the transition to net zero is creating exciting new opportunities in this sector.
Your responsibilities:
- Market Analysts will be working on a variety of projects to support the Marketing & Innovations team in the area of segment marketing.
The key outcome for the team is to ensure JM has enhanced value propositions and that we protect our market leadership in current segments, while preparing for the future.
The role holders will need to work flexibly in a matrix organization and deliver high impact, actionable insight.
The main activities for the role holder will include market mapping, gathering market intelligence, data organisation to produce reports and communications, segmentation & Market Segment Value Propositions, supporting the development of product roadmaps and supporting the new product introduction projects across the portfolio.
Other areas of focus will include, Key Account Management - support by providing market data/insight. Customer Satisfaction/Voice of Customer (VoC) - support the annual CSAT process to gain insightful feedback from customers.
Deliver all activities in accordance with JM code of ethics and EHS policy and practices.
Requirements for the role:
Degree qualified, likely in a scientific/technical discipline
Familiar with business-to-business sales and marketing
Foundational experience in the chemicals sector
Skilled user of Excel and experience of data visualisation tools such as Tableau
