The opportunity


As EY continues to grow our Alliances, we need an EMEIA Alliance Market Enablement Associate Director who can work with the Alliance Go to Market Leaders and Alliance Relationship Director for the IBM and RPA alliances to develop a plan for establishing and elevating EY’s market position. The Markets Enablement Manager will manage the sales enablement globally, aligning with global and area alliance, solution, sector and SL leadership. This role is part of the EMEIA Alliance and Ecosystem Relationship Program. This is a great opportunity to work with people across the EMEIA as well as across multiple EY service lines and sectors.


Your key responsibilities


Your role will sit within the Alliance and Ecosystem Relationship team that provides alliance management oversight for the top EY alliances. Specifically, the EMEIA Alliance Market Enablement Associate Director will work as part of the RPA and IBM EMEIA Alliance teams and in close collaboration with the alliance partner alliance and marketing organization to coordinate and deliver upon of the market enablement objectives of the alliances.


Your primary responsibilities will include:


  • Responsible for collaborating with the Alliance Relationship Director and Alliance Leader to develop a plan for establishing and elevating EY’s market position with the alliance partner.
  • This role will act as a quarterback, orchestrating activities across EMEIA in alignment with EMEIA and Global Alliance GTM priorities.
  • Support the alliance relationship director and/or campaign director in execution of Global/EMEIA GTM campaigns, inclusive of developing Sales enablement materials and identifying tactics to educate the alliance partner and EY on the alliance value proposition and how to position with clients.
  • Oversee the creation of content as required by the alliance partner (e.g. win stories and credentials, solution materials), coordinating with areas as needed to promote consistency
  • Define and execute alliance event strategy – coordination with alliance partner, alliance team, Meeting & Events and BMC (Brand, Marketing & Communications) – on creation and execution of event for in person and virtual alliance events for the purpose of building pipeline
  • Collaborate with BMC on the brand strategy for the alliance to incorporate brand into the sales enablement content and execution activities
  • Leverage EY channels to educate EY practioneers and business development on the value proposition of the Alliance and the EY solutions/FoPs/Sectors where the alliance is embedded
  • Collaborate with alliance practices on the development of analyst responses
  • Develop partner award submission responses to secure partner of the year awards for EMEIA and Global awards


You can anticipate a mix of virtual work along with regular coordination with other team members across EMEIA and across the Globe. The role will require some travel.


Skills and attributes for success


To qualify for the role you must have:


  • Deep understanding of EY matrixed structure and stakeholder
    • ability to identify who, where and how decisions are made within EY functional/regional/sector matrix
    • ability to figure out how to access those stakeholders
    • ability to craft and target communications that are carefully tailored to each audience
  • Understanding of the specific technologies and solutions: RPA and general knowledge of IBM
    • Ability to understand the broad array of technologies and solutions, client issues, and competitive landscape relevant for the Alliance
    • Understand nuances and variables across technologies/solutions drive different marketing, sales, and delivery models
    • Understand how the business model for each technology/solution fits within EY’s strategy and the Alliance partner’s strategy
  • Deep understanding of the alliance sales process
  • Ability to understand the technology and partner/EY sales model and apply understanding in order to develop sales enablement materials
  • Ability to craft and refine executive-level content and communications
  • Apply appropriate judgement and evaluate & prioritize appropriate programs and make high-level operational decisions
