You will work mainly within the engineering team on Airborne Mission Systems, with particular focus on Merlin, a programme which Lockheed Martin has been involved with for around 30 years. In addition, you will have opportunities to work both on our existing portfolio of programmes and future capabilities, which we want you to help shape.

You will primarily be home based with occasional travel to the Havant offices and our customer sites in Crawley and Yeovil. This would really suit you If you have a background in Aerospace, particularly Helicopters, or other highly regulated industries such as Automotive, as well as exposure to synthetic training systems development.
You will experience a wide range of engineering activities including:

Leading a technical team on a sub system or part of a system

Becoming the Cognizant (responsible) Engineer for a sub system of part of a sub system.

Review, advise and approve system test plans and acceptance test documentation

Leading Design efforts of Bespoke Aerospace Software/Hardware interfaces and systems

Modelling and Systems design

Interpreting engineering drawings using CAD

Translate business requirements into appropriate technical specifications

Manage your time and the teams time effectively to develop effective solutions to cost and quality targets

Provide technical input to programme management and commercial staff and support where required in the use of LM and industry tools

Any additional Programme related tasks assigned that are within area of expertise, competence and skill set.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and suppliers across all levels of the organisation both internally and with the customer
