The Opportunity


The recruitment landscape is changing rapidly, to ensure we are equipped to capitalize on this evolution, EY is expanding our Executive Talent Attraction and Acquisition global team (GTA2S) to ensure we can continue to engage, attract, and retain the world’s most exceptional and diverse talent. This team collaborates with our Regional, Area and Global leadership teams across Americas, EMEIA and APAC to deliver an integrated, agile and insights driven approach to Partner Recruitment.


The Executive Talent Attraction Team supports global executive recruitment activities, designing and delivering sourcing strategies to connect with talent for niche and emerging skill sets. Talent Attraction roles help shape the EY organisation of the future, facing the market and assisting through targeted search activity, market insights and team lifts.

This newly created role has been designed to respond to the increased targets across various strategic growth initiatives and will function to meet our DAP and PPEDD hiring objectives; driving down our vendor spend and playing a critical role in shaping the approach to market in many of our growing markets globally.


We seek individuals who can partner strategically with the business, delivering innovative talent attraction for Executive hiring. These roles suit people with an innovation mindset combined with experience in delivering through tested methodologies; we need people who can collaborate within a global team but drive exceptional outcomes in their portfolio, building relationships of trust.


About you:


Reporting to the Global Tax Talent Attraction Leader – GTA2s, this role will be required to work independently to drive projects and create solutions and robust candidate pipeline to fulfill our growing hiring needs. Responding to priorities, providing advice to partner hiring teams, and acting as an in-market resource for the SL, Talent, and Executive recruiting teams.


Responsibilities:


  • The newly created TA Lead role will be principally focused on identified growth areas across Global Tax, People Advisory Services and Law. With a principle focus on our growth priorities.
  • The core activity of the Lead roles will be “in market” candidate engagement. Focused on prequalifying candidates for both BAU and opportunistic hiring.
  • The priority of activity should be where there is “urgency” to hire, or complexity of sourcing activity is present (Team lifts, team builds, multi-geography hiring or meeting our D&I hiring objectives)
  • Working in tight collaboration with the SL Leadership team, Executive Talent Acquisition and Exec Talent Attraction Leadership to define a sourcing strategy for the service lines in each Area, and executing this with the centre TA leader, driving innovation and working on projects to lead new ways of working for executive hiring
  • The TA Lead will form a tight collaboration with the centre resources to drive outcomes in a timely manner. Leveraging their research, pipelining and engagement activity to support the projects.
  • The TA Lead will also focus on development of the centre-based resources allocated to their SL, being a coach to develop these resources and their overall capability – bringing the delivery teams to a new level of delivery and providing guidance on Executive pipelining activity.
  • TA Lead will provide leadership of SL Insights activity, becoming a focal point of contact for this activity – advising executive recruiters and Hiring partners and SL and SSL leaders in the area
  • This role will be measured on candidates that are hired through their direct contact, market insights work delivered, and the quality of the candidate conversion rates as well as linked to overall vendor spend % targets
  • The lead role will champion the development of market brand campaigns for their portfolio driving this activity with stakeholders – executing this through the centre-based teams with the regional groups.
  • This role will additionally be accountable for advancing our D&I hiring agenda globally whilst collaborating to both raise awareness and design and execute on delivery programmes to drive change.


With the expected expansion of Executive hiring for the foreseeable future, this specialist delivery leadership role for executive hiring is critical for EY identifying and engaging with executive talent for EY to win in this market, while managing cost in a fiscally responsible way.


Requirements


  • You will be a seasoned professional, experienced in a search firm or in-house recruiting team (ideally both) delivering on complex, Executive Recruiting projects, covering multiple geographies, ideally within professional services, law, private equity or consulting
  • Experience in managing complex client and stakeholder relationships
  • Experience in navigating a large matrix structure with a proven ability to resolve organizational conflicts
  • Expertise in a range of sourcing methodologies, both advertising and search led, team lifts, headhunting
  • High level of business acumen and professional gravitas
  • Demonstrated creativity and a personal drive to innovate
  • A high level of capability and versatility in communication, both written and verbal, to allow rapport building across a range of demographics
  • An ability to rapidly assimilate information and develop robust knowledge in a range of markets and technical functions to enable effective sourcing and assessment of required skills and capabilities
  • A global mindset, and the willingness and ability to team globally with dispersed and centralised teams.
  • Besides English, a second language skill is preferred.
