We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Systems Analyst who is passionate to build excellence in change delivery and business system analysis.

Dependable, efficient, innovative, and effective technology services are critical to the core internal functions of CDP and enabling it to deliver its core mission. As part of its strategic ambitions, CDP has recognised an uplift to technology operations and capabilities which are critical to realize its strategic goals of stabilise, control, simplify organise and innovate for its core internal business functions of HR, Legal and Finance.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Systems Analyst will be responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in co-ordination with the technology team to drive efficient and scalable solutions that deliver value across the core business functions.

In this role you will initially work on processes from different countries where there is an expectation to travel, gain understanding and become a strategic source for the processes. By joining the team you will work initially with our finance teams across the company, interact with key stakeholders to succeed in delivering value to the finance function.

This will be the start of our transformation journey to digitally transform our processes and systems to the latest enterprise technologies. This will ensure the role will continue to positively challenge you and provide training opportunities as we progress along the journey.

  • Bachelor’s or master's degree, or equivalent, in a relevant field.
  • At least 2 years of relevant working experience in related business analysis, digital transformation or IT delivery particularly using Scrum or agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of finance systems and process and or HR systems and processes
  • Business knowledge on key Financial and or HR processes
  • Ability to translate internal and external customer needs into business requirements and technology/data capabilities
  • Experience organising and facilitating multi-stakeholder workshops and requirements gathering
  • Excellent interpersonal and client-handling skills, with the ability to manage expectations and simplify detail to key principles and decisions
  • High attention to detail and with an analytical approach to problem solving
  • Demonstrable experience of excellent time management, organisational and prioritisation skills.

Desirable criteria


  • General knowledge of application architecture
  • Microsoft Dynamics finance / HR
  • Experience with data management, governance, and cross application data mapping
  • An ability to positively influence key stakeholders on solution design
  • Experience of user experience design, product management and digital journey or channel management
  • Previous experience within a Business Relationship Management role or a Business Analyst role
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio,
  • An interest in working for an environmental NGO and an understanding of and desire to promote corporate and sub-national government sustainability

Salary and Benefits

This full-time, 6 months fixed term contract role will be based in the CDP London office with some flexibility to work remotely and reports directly to the Senior Manager Enterprise Functions Systems.

Salary and benefits: The salary is £40,000 to £50,000 per annum based on experience, annual discretionary bonus, Benefits include 30 days holiday plus bank holidays, generous non-contributory pension provision, Employee Assistance Programme, life assurance, training and development, flexible working opportunities and other benefits.
