We are looking for graduates who can answer “yes” to the above for our 2023 Technology Graduate Programme, due to start in September 2023.
What you'll be doing
The key thing to know is that your role will be broad and diverse, with lots of opportunity to develop. You will join our two-year programme as part of an engineering team and use your emerging software development skills to build features, solve bugs and ultimately provide valuable, high-quality software to our customers.
During the programme you will:
- Continuously grow your skills in software development by undertaking relevant training
- Be part of a team building maintainable features and resolving bugs to ensure great deliverable outcomes to our customers
- Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality software is built for our customers
- Take part and share your views in developer team meetings to keep colleagues informed and to create a forum for knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with other team members to support smooth delivery of development activities within fast paced projects.
- Writing / refactoring code & unit tests to conform to standards and reducing technical debt
- Security testing to detect security weaknesses
- Assist in the research and assessment of latest DevOps/cloud technologies
What we're looking for
First and foremost, we are looking for people with passion for technology, an inquisitive mind and a desire to learn. We’re not expecting prior industry experience, but we’ll want to see that you have the tools to develop quickly. These include:
- 2.1 Degree, STEM subject is preferred but not essential
- If you haven’t studied a STEM subject, you will need demonstrable interest in Technology or Engineering
- Analytical mind-set, with a high level of numeracy
- Basic awareness of programming technologies such as; Typescript/Javascript frameworks, Public Cloud providers, Java or other JVM languages
- Great communication skills and a team-player
- Highly curious with creative problem solving skills
- High levels of energy, dynamism and commitment
- Highly organised with the ability to take ownership and prioritise effectively

The application to this role asking you to upload your CV, application questions, completion of info to assess your eligibility based on A-Level grades and degree, online testing (Situational Judgement and General Ability), a recorded video interview, and an assessment centre (line manager interview, a presentation, a group exercise).
