Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and motivated Marine Manager to join the Corio’s rapidly growing offshore wind business and support the transition to a low carbon, sustainable global economy. Corio was developed under the Green Investment Group and remains a subsidiary of Macquarie Group (Australia’s largest investment bank) so we have strong financial support to drive the business forward.

You will assume this role within the Offshore Construction and Logistics Team, reporting on a business & corporate level to the Head of Offshore Construction & Logistics.

Your daily reporting and management will be to the Senior Logistics Manager, supporting construction and marine logistics across the Corio portfolio.

You will set up and maintain the vessel inspection database specific to Corio. Oversee the work quality and standards of consultants and consultant services relating to your area.

Ensure that knowledge and information is available, together with the Senior Logistics Manager you will advise and support the development of Offshore Construction technology, methods and assets will support and deliver Corio projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Senior Logistics Manager to support best in class delivery to Corio projects.
  • Responsible for managing and delivery of vessel management inspections and approval in development phases of projects to the business.
  • Implement and maintain logistics systems, including tracking, reporting, and documentation of marine assets and equipment.
  • In time as the company business expands, support and aid SLM to implement strategy and guidance company wide, to under pin the management of Offshore Logistics across the project portfolio.
  • Support in developing, defining, and refining the potential logistics solutions for transportation & delivery of heavy equipment, both to assembly and logistic Hubs for Company Projects.
  • Provide support in the engagement of supply chain across the logistics requirement.
  • Utilize technology solutions and digital tools to streamline logistics operations, improve data visibility, and enhance supply chain efficiency. coordination
  • Support in the final logistic setups and Strategies for Construction, Operations and Maintenance.
  • Assist & support with review of technical design development in the lead up to construction and in support of achieving all required permits and approvals.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to offshore wind logistics.
  • Establish meeting schedules with relevant contractors, service providers and internal teams to oversee and control overall project delivery on a look forward basis to ensure prompt decision making and problem solving.
  • Oversee and manage environmental plan implementation to ensure compliance.
  • Support in defining the ports and marine logistics strategy for the project, including definition of requirements and selection of ports, upgrading works, analyze local content and constraints risks and opportunities.
  • Manage consultants executing ports and logistics studies.

In addition, we expect that you have the following skills, qualifications, and experience:


  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or a completed marine apprenticeship would be desired though not essential.
A proven track record of project experience in large marine EPC projects in either development or construction.
· Safety leader with knowledge of health and safety and environmental legislation and best practice associated with construction projects.· Experience of vessel auditing and management procedures (e.g., eCMID, OVID)
  • Extensive knowledge of port infrastructure and marine operations including supply chain and market conditions.
  • Proactive and co-operative way of working.
  • Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively.
  • Global mindset being responsive to local and remote inputs and requests
  • Perseverance and an ability to prioritize and execute tasks to meet deadlines
  • Team oriented mind-set and strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Business awareness and understanding of the key drivers and levers that influence business performance and particularly project performance.

It would be a bonus if you have:

  • HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) audits, design risk assessment and method statement production and reviews.
  • Knowledge of PMI or PMP certified or APM certified is desirable.
  • Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (e.g., DNV, ISO, European Standards, ISPS) is desirable.

We work in an international environment, and it is therefore essential that you can demonstrate excellent communication skills and speak and write English fluently as well as have adaptability across cultures.


Whilst it would be beneficial for you to have experience of working in the Offshore Windfarm industry, this is not essential.
