Occupational therapy staff may act as named key workers for a designated caseload and support the duty triage function in the team. However, their main focus will be to respond to referrals for specific occupational therapy assessments and interventions. These might include assessments to assist in determining diagnosis or to assess environment. Interventions may include graded programmes to build confidence, exploring new leisure activities to reduce social isolation, support with addressing hoarding or managing behaviours that challenge. There are 3 occupational therapy posts within the team: band 5, band 6 and band 7. The band 6 post holder will provide supervision to the band 5 and will receive monthly supervision.
